Content Overview of Matthew 22-24:
In Matthew 25, Jesus shares three parables about the kingdom of heaven: the Ten Virgins, the Talents, and the Sheep and Goats. Each of these challenges us to live wisely, faithfully, and compassionately as we await His return. Are you using what God has entrusted to you to serve others and glorify Him? These parables are a call to action!
Chapter 26 begins the narrative of Jesus’ final hours. We see Him anointed with expensive perfume, celebrating the Last Supper with His disciples, and then agonizing in prayer at Gethsemane. Despite His deep anguish, Jesus willingly surrenders to the Father’s will, showing us the ultimate example of trust and obedience.
In chapter 27, we walk through the heartbreaking events of Jesus’ trial, crucifixion, and burial. It’s a sobering reminder of the immense price He paid for our salvation. Yet, even in His suffering, we see glimpses of hope—like the Roman centurion declaring, ‘Truly, this was the Son of God.’
Finally, in Matthew 28, we celebrate the resurrection! Jesus’ victory over death changes everything. The chapter concludes with the Great Commission, where Jesus commands His followers to go and make disciples of all nations. It’s a mission that continues today, and we’re invited to be part of it.
Prayer and Meditation Questions for Matthew 25-28:

Matthew 26:36-46 – Jesus in Gethsemane:

Matthew 28:18-20 – The Great Commission:
Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. How can you participate in sharing His love and message with someone this week?
Prayer Prompt: "Jesus, thank You for inviting me into Your mission. Show me how I can share Your love and make a difference in the lives of others today."
Conclusion:
Jesus calls us to love God and others, live with humility, and stay ready for His return. These truths shape how we live every single day.
So what about you? How can you love God and others better this week? Are there areas where pride or outward appearances are holding you back from true humility? And finally, are you living each day with an eternal mindset?
Blessings,
~ Darrell
