Prayer and Meditation Questions for Matthew 4-6:
Here are three prayer and meditation questions for Day 2: Matthew 4-6:
Matthew 4:1-11 – Jesus' Temptation:
As you reflect on how Jesus resisted temptation using Scripture, ask God to reveal areas in your life where you might be vulnerable to temptation.
Prayer Prompt: "Lord, help me to recognize the schemes of the enemy and to respond with the truth of Your Word. Strengthen me to stand firm in moments of weakness."
Matthew 5:1-12 – The Beatitudes:
Jesus describes the character of those who are blessed in God’s kingdom. Which of these traits stands out to you as something God wants to cultivate in your life?
Prayer Prompt: "Father, shape me to be more like Jesus. Teach me to hunger and thirst for righteousness and to live with mercy, purity, and peace in my heart."
Matthew 6:25-34 – Do Not Worry:
Jesus calls us to trust the Father for our daily needs. What burdens or worries can you surrender to God today?
Prayer Prompt: "Lord, I give You my anxieties about [specific concern]. Help me to seek Your kingdom first and trust that You will provide all I need in Your perfect timing."
That’s it! See you tomorrow!
Blessings,
~ Darrell
