Prayer and Meditation Questions for Matthew 7-9:
Matthew 7:7-12 – Ask, Seek, Knock:
Jesus encourages us to come to God with persistence and faith. Are there areas in your life where you need to bring your requests to God more intentionally?
Prayer Prompt: "Father, teach me to seek You wholeheartedly. Help me to trust in Your goodness as I bring my needs and desires before You today."
Matthew 8:23-27 – Jesus Calms the Storm:
In the midst of the storm, the disciples were afraid, even with Jesus in the boat. Are there storms in your life where you need to trust Jesus’ presence and power?
Prayer Prompt: "Lord, remind me that You are with me in every storm. Help me to trust in Your authority and to find peace in knowing You are in control."
Matthew 9:9-13 – The Call of Matthew:
Jesus called Matthew, a tax collector, to follow Him, showing grace to someone society rejected. Are there people in your life that God might be calling you to see with compassion and love?
Prayer Prompt: "Jesus, thank You for calling me to follow You, despite my flaws. Help me to extend Your grace and love to others, especially those I find difficult to accept."
That’s it! See you tomorrow!
Blessings,
~ Darrell
